EPY Material
EPY Material compund consisting of two components with hardener is a special material didecated to foundation chocks for engines and machinery which require precise and durable mount operation on metal and concrete foundations. This compound has been characterized by good castability and little casting contraction. It’s main charecteristic, after hardening process, is also strong compression strength, creep and ageing resistance, vibration damping and it limits propagate of material sounds.
EPY assignment and application
Thanks to its mechanical and technological properties, the EPY compound has been dedicated to produce of foundation chocks for various types of objects which require dependable and stable position in relation to basis or other objects. This compund has been particularly applicated in wide range in shipbuilding industry, engineering and mining industries and in building industry as well. Objects most often seated: in shipbuilding industry:
- marine engines and gears of main propulsion,
- auxiliaries of marine power plant,
- deck equipment including cranes, winches, lifts and hoisting winches,
- rudder sleeves and stern tubes.
in engineering and mining industries:
- heavy machine tools and presses,
- processing lines,
- ventilators,
- hoisting machines,
- turbines, motor-compressors and gears,
- large-size bearings of cranes, sinking engines and stacking machines.
in building industry:
- carrying poles,
- bridge bearings,
- bracing of bolts in concrete,
- sole-plates and chocks for cranes’ and overhead cranes’ rails.
